Threads of Memory takes textiles as a form of thought: a medium where matter and gesture become language. Through crochet, the fabric translates what has no form—an emotion, a memory, an absence—into visible matter. Each stitch holds a moment: a way of recording the invisible and inhabiting time from the body.
I work from a reduced visual acuity that has led me to develop an intimate relationship with the tactile. I am interested in the possibility of seeing through touch, of thinking with my hands. In repetition, I find a form of slow perception, a way of understanding time and memory from proximity. Many of the pieces in Threads of Memory are constructed from this physical, almost meditative rhythm, where gesture becomes narrative.
Textiles, historically associated with women's crafts, are also a space for autonomy, transmission and freedom in intimacy. This notion of community runs through my practice, along with my connection to Ibiza, where craft traditions and material experimentation have always been forms of encounter. This legacy is present in the structure, volumes and tactile presence of the project.
In recent years, I have incorporated artificial intelligence as a counterpoint to the hand: an external gaze that reinterprets my work and returns new readings. What is born from an intimate experience is amplified in the collective, transformed and returned to the workshop, where it regains its physical form. Threads of Memory inhabits this dialogue between the self and the other, between tradition and technology.
As a whole, the project moves between matter and memory, between the intimate and the collective. It is an attempt to understand how thought takes shape in matter, how the body and technology intertwine in forms of perception that go beyond the gaze.

Threads of Memory parte del textil como una forma de pensamiento: un medio donde la materia y el gesto se convierten en lenguaje. Ese legado está presente en la estructura, en los volúmenes y en la presencia táctil del proyecto.
En los últimos años he incorporado la inteligencia artificial como contrapunto a la mano: una mirada externa que reinterpreta mi trabajo y devuelve nuevas lecturas. Lo que nace de una experiencia íntima se amplifica en lo colectivo, se transforma y vuelve al taller, donde recupera su forma física. Threads of Memory habita ese diálogo entre lo propio y lo ajeno, entre tradición y tecnología.
En conjunto, el proyecto se mueve entre la materia y la memoria, entre lo íntimo y lo colectivo. Es un intento de comprender cómo el pensamiento toma forma en la materia, cómo el cuerpo y la tecnología se entrelazan en formas de percepción que van más allá de la mirada.
